Director-General for ASEAN Cooperation: Benefitting from ASEAN Community 2015

Indonesian people and government and are expected to not only be ready, but
also to take advantage of the ASEAN Community 2015 establishment. This was
stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director-General for ASEAN
Cooperation, Ambassador I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja, during the signing of a
Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry and Universitas Airlangga
(Unair) on Education, Research and Public Service (14-15/03).

Directorate General of Multilateral in cooperation with the
International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) of Genève
organized a workshop on ‘Investment Treaty Negotiation and Disputes’ at
the Aryaduta Hotel, Tangerang (12-13/02). The workshop was held in
anticipation of possible disputes arising from the growing cooperation
related to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Indonesia and a number of countries.

Zealand, watched the event simultaneously.
