President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Government House on Friday at 10.00 local time, which is also same to Jakarta time. In this one-hour meeting, the two leaders were discussing various bilateral such as fishery, agriculture, energy and trade, as well as regional and global issues of common interest.
Before the bilateral meeting, President Yudhoyono and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra have attended the World Economic Forum on East Asia at the Shangri La Hotel, Bangkok in a session with the theme of Shaping East Asia’s Future through Connectivity.
After the meeting, President Yudhoyono and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra were scheduled to witness the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two governments on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Service/Official Passports.
In this visit, the President was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Minister of State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa, Minister of Defense Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sharif C. Sutardjo, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Mari Pangestu, Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam, Chairman of the National Economic Commission Chairul Tanjung, Governor of Riau Islands HM Sani and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Rusman Heriawan.
