The Chairman of the Committee in his report to the Consul General at the opening ceremony among others said that the Independence is inseparable from the spirit of the fighters to escape from colonialism and the spirit to always strive to get the best. The inspiration enhances the spirit of togetherness and struggle to get the best.
Sports Week, held at the Consulate General in Karachi on 17, 24 and June 30, 2012, by carrying out various of sports such as bowling, tug of war, sack race, table tennis and children's games.
Consul General in his opening speech, among others emphasized the importance of togetherness and unity of all Indonesian nationals in the province of Sindh. He stressed that the Sports Week was not organized for winning, but for promoting prefer attitude of sportsmanship and togetherness among participants, Indonesian nationals living in Karachi, Sindh, and invited all Indonesian nationals in the province of Sindh to further raise awareness toward the security situation in Karachi which has not been conducive.
The opening ceremony of Sports Week was marked by beating the gong followed by bowling on June 17, 2012 and tug of war, sack race and games for the children on June 24, 2012. The opening of sports week has been carried out as scheduled and in a friendly atmosphere, which has been very beneficial to Indonesian nationals to increase the sense of togetherness and unity among fellow citizens in Karachi.
