Lebanon People Donate Funds for Victims of Sumatra Earthquake

Along with the social spirit of Miss Lebanon to help victims of earthquake in Sumatra, Night Charity / Charity Dinner held on Tuesday night (20/10) with displays of music performances and dance Indonesia and Lebanese tracks.
 
Charity Dinner, entitled "Padang, do not lose your hope", as the last song performed by all participants at the event, get the support of the Lebanese people, including Miss Lebanon 2009, Martine Andraos.
 
Several representatives from social organizations, the Red Cross Lebanon, Lebanon Force, political and cultural figures and Lebanese artists, has appeared with hundreds of other laws and contribute.

In his speech, Miss Lebanon 2009 to support the movement to raise funds for earthquake victims in Indonesia. Miss Andraos appeal to the wider community can contribute and help fund the evening program organized by the Indonesian community in Lebanon.

"This event is an expression of solidarity as a fellow human being and respect for the victims and provide support to survivors kelurga", said Ambassador Bagas Hapsoro. On behalf of the people and Government of Indonesia, Ambassador of Indonesia also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support and assistance provided by the Lebanese people to Indonesia.

Some traditional Indonesian dances, ranging from Dance Pangbage (Welcome from West Java), Dance Badinding (from West Sumatra), War Dance from Papua to play music Kolintang who brought Arabic songs helped provide entertainment to the penonoton attractive.

In the midst of these dances, bands from Lebanon also brought some unique songs Arabs.
Throughout the event, Friends of Indonesia come to collect the envelope of each invitation. Donation is calculated and announced at the end of the event. Results donation will be distributed to earthquake victims through accounts established Government.

Not only the artists, Ambassador Bagas Hapsoro also show their ability to play several songs using the piano and oud / guitar to accompany Arabic songs other Arabs.

Before the event ended with the song "Padang, do not lose your hope" created by the special ambassador for the activities of this Charity Night, Miss Lebanon announced the amount of assistance available.

How much money is collected? "Probably not much, it was only + U.S. $ 32.000, - (including a commitment from the Hariri Foundation which will donate U.S. $ 20,000, -), but the intention and motivation that comes from the people of Lebanon are moving and we need to appreciate," explained Ambassador Hapsoro modestly.
